Fees and Funding

The type of financial support available to you, and tuition fees liable to be paid by you will vary according to the level of programme (Undergraduate or Postgraduate), the subject you intend on studying, where you live, your family circumstances and whether you have previously received funding as a student.

In addition to the financial support highlighted within this section, many students will also supplement their income via part-time employment during their studies.

Whilst every effort has been made to ensure the accuracy of the information on this section, it is important that you confirm the financial support arrangement with your relevant funding body for the latest and most accurate information.

EU and international undergraduate students fee discount: 2021/22

For 2021/22 entry we will be discounting our full-time international fee to £7000 per year for the following undergraduate programmes:

  • BA (Hons) Business Management
  • BA (Hons) Event and Festival Management
  • BA (Hons) International Hospitality and Tourism Management
  • BA (Hons) Media and Communications
  • BA (Hons) PR and Marketing Communications
  • Master of Dietetics
  • Master of Nursing
  • Master of Occupational Therapy
  • Master of Physiotherapy
  • Master of Podiatry
  • Master of Radiography: Diagnostic
  • Master of Radiography: Therapeutic
  • Master of Speech & Language Therapy

The discount for the above programmes applies to all full-time undergraduate EU and international students with international fee status. It is being introduced both as an interim arrangement as EU students move to international fee status and to support undergraduate international students in their studies at QMU. The discount will apply for the duration of the programme (up to a maximum of four years).

At present the discount is available for those students commencing their course in Scotland in 2021/22. We will keep the discount under review, especially in light of any Scottish Government policy updates. Please be assured, though, any further changes will not reduce the current discount offered for 2021/22 entry.

The inclusion of students from the Republic of Ireland in this scheme is subject to confirmation of their fee status by the Scottish Government. If the fee status of students from the Republic of Ireland is confirmed as international, then they will be eligible for the discounted full-time international fee of £7000 per year.
