Dr Stuart Wilson (MA (Hons), M.Sc, Ph.D.) is a Senior Lecturer in the Psychology, Sociology and Education Division.

I completed a Ph.D at the University of Edinburgh (2003). Prior to this I completed an M.Sc (also from the University of Edinburgh; 1998) and an MA (Hons) from the University of Glasgow (1994). I joined QMU in 2002 and have undertaken a number of administrative, teaching and research roles.

Research/Knowledge Exchange Centre Membership:

I am an experimental psychologist with an interest in the adaptive function of cognition. I am interested in the nature of cognitive adaptations themselves as well as the role that they play in memory, attention and social/cultural phenomena.

I also have an interest in conceptual and philosophical issues in psychology, such as consciousness, the mind-body problem and epistemology
