Mr Matthew Gibson (BSc (Hons), MRes (Distinction), MBPsS) is the Psychology Technician in the Psychology, Sociology and Education Division. He is also an Affiliate member of Centre for Applied Social Science.

Having completed his undergraduate degree in Psychology at QMU, Matthew joined the division as a Lecturer in early 2016. His undergraduate dissertation was conducted in the area of experimental forensic psychology and his Masters in Research degree (MRes), investigating the irrelevant sound effect, was completed in September of 2016. Since then Matthew has acquired the role of Psychology Technician within the Division.

At present I am primarily interested in the study of memory and applications of evolutionary theory in psychology.
